Learning about Justine: Tonsillectomy

Ewh. Yeah.

I found out yesterday I have to have my tonsils taken out.

Ewh. Yeah.

So not looking forward to that.

Apparently, it's harder on adults than children. But hey, I've got a high tolerance for pain, so I should be good. Right?

Let's hope.

Ewh. Yeah.

I'm afraid of a lot of things. Needles, doctors, needles to just name a few. So, I'll probably put it off.

Ewh. Yeah.

I'm going to go crawl under my desk.

You don't feel a thing :-) plus do they still tell you to eat lots of ice cream afterwards? Hope you are feeling better

Awwww that's no good! But better out than in, like Shrek says. I wish they'd take mine out. I've had strep/tonislitis every year, more than once a year since I can remember, and yet the tonsil remain.

You'll do fine and I hope you feel better soon!

I had them out when I was three. One of my children has had them out. You'll be okay. Just get plenty of rest. Yeah, like that's easy. How soon are you having it done?

At least you'll get to eat ice cream. (which is only great if you like ice cream).

My oldest had them out when he was a toddler, along with his adnoids. But that was because of sleep apnea.

boo that stinks.
My brother had them out when he was an adult and i don't think it was too tough on him. It also cured his sleep apnea. Bonus!

Aww, you'll do great, don't worry. The more you put it off, the more stress you will endure.

Don't wig! I had mine out at like 15, so I remember it very well. Is there any way you can get it done by laser? I've heard that's WAY less invasive, etc. Seriously, even the old-fashioned way, it's not just HORRIBLE, and they'll give you lots of drugs~ ;p <3

Our son had his out when he was a teenager - didn't phase him a bit. So, you might not have a bad reaction.

Oh my gosh.. I thought we didn't do that anymore! Don't worry... I've heard it's very quick and painless, and the good news is ICE CREAM :)

I've been putting off removing my wisdom teeth for the same reasons for about 7 years now too :S
