Whoot! Whoot! SPECIAL Friday Update!

Friday Friendster Graphics

YUPPERS!!! It's Friday!

And after the longest week of my life, seriously, I'm sooo glad the weekend it here!

How 'bout you? ;-)

I'll do a quick (and I mean QUICK) round up of my week, but then I want to share something with all of you.

1. I have developed a query addiction. I'm not kidding. When I start sending those suckers out, I CAN'T STOP! What is wrong with me?!?!?

2. So, obviously from #1, I've been querying. No, I don't want to discuss it. Ewh.

3. Editing the newly finished wip has become more difficult. I knew it would happen. Writing something "new" (in terms of genre), tends to make one crazy. I don't recommend it.

4. We are going to have a heat wave next week! 40 degrees!! I might run around outside in shorts.

5. Oh, I've read seven books in the past two weeks. The Hunger Games series, The Wake series, and Personal Demons. I guess that's how I spend my time when I'm not writing. LoL.

That is all.

Except this:

On The Wings of A Butterfly

by Corky Ferguson

Your friendship is special
Like the flowers that bloom,
Or when a butterfly emerges
From within its cocoon...

You remind me of that butterfly,
Loving and free,
Bright and colorful,
For the world to see...

We will share sunshine and rainbows;
Sometimes, the rain and the snow;
We'll stand together through it,
While the cold winds blow...

When the time is right,
We won't stop to ask "Why?"
Our friendship will take flight
On the wings of a butterfly ...

(pss ... be a happy panda)

Don't forget to believe, peeps. Have a wonderful weekend!

Seven books? Do you sleep?
And thanks, I think I'll stick to my genre.

Maybe we could mix our reactions to queries. I can't seem to make myself start!

And you know, I thought this was a particularly long week too. Maybe the rotation of the earth was altered without our realizing it (that would explain all the amazing COLD weather, too!).

we're supposed to hit 40 on sunday as well! I'm hoping it will melt some of our ice dam

Seven books? I'm jealous. Of that and the 40 degrees. I know about query addiction too--that'll be starting up soon, ha ha.

We'll having a heat wave. +26F. Great compared to what it was. -26F.

I'm going the opposite direction with querying. I'm bored of it, and agents are sitting on my queries (I'm referring to the responders). Plus I'm in love with my WIP so I can't be bother to take the time to send out more queries. Never thought I'd say that. Wow at this rate, I'll be querying two books at the same time. Hmmm. Not sure I like that idea. ;)

I Love Pandas! A delightful picture. Your post is delightful, too! So lively. Seven books!! You definitely are a writer, because REAL writers read!!! So keep reading, and writing, AND querying! You're brave to try a different genre than you're used to. Cheers! We're +35 today with a bit of a wind chill. Don't we all wish winter would end!!!

Seven books. I have two going at once (mistake) and I'm not sure when I'll finish either!

It's been 40 here the last 2 days. It's like I'm in Hawaii or something.

Holy moly.. seven books?!... That's amazing! I signed up for this 100 books in One Year Challenge.. and I am failing MISERABLY!

I'm terrified of the querying process.. I'm not even there yet, and I'm panicking about it.

Querying is addictive. I hear you! And wow - look at all those books you've read!

Yes. The query sickness is quite catching. I'm fighting it myself... but those Hunger Games really suck you in. I can understand all the reading. Best of luck w/all your work! Happy V'day~ :o)
